Week 31 - 🏄‍♂ī¸â›šī¸â€â™‚ī¸đŸĨ‡

This week has gone fairly well. Not as many lessons as we had hoped but we have been getting a lot of referrals lately and its funny because it seems like everyone we stop by is like oh cool normal people missionaries. So its cool to see a bunch of doors opening up to us. And lately we have been able to meet with all of our ward mission leaders which is a lot of help.

We met with this ward mission leader and he is into long boarding and he builds his own boards. It was so cool to talk with him about that and he told me how he does it which can be a huge help when I get home because now I don't have to mess up a bunch trying to find a good way. So that was super sweet.

We have been doing a lot of contacting lately which is different for a Utah mission. Because we usually get referrals before we contact a place but there are a lot of RV parks and apartments. Its fun being able to talk to people and stuff because there are times where we run out of referrals so we decide places to walk around to run into people and talk but its nice that there is a bunch of new apartments to knock around so we feel more productive. And its also super nice that it hasnt been a really cold winter because it helps to create service opportunities although we don't have snow to shovel for people.

So last time we had the car we thought that we only were allowed to go 600 miles between us and the sisters but we found out thats how much they had and we are aloud 800 miles just us. So last time we had the car we wouldn't use the car at the beginning of the day so that we could use the car at night since we thought we could only go 25 miles a day. So since we didnt use very much of our miles last time we have so many miles saved up that we can drive 90 miles a day which is super nice because now we don't even have to worry about our miles because its normal for us to only drive 40ish miles. But that is an amazing blessing hahah.

Something I have been super grateful for lately is friendship because that plays a huge role in the people we teach. People who are good friends and introduce the church to their friends. And I am also super grateful for it because i can testify that having good friends can play a huge role in someone's life and it definitely has mine. My friends are the biggest reason (besides growing up in the church) why Im out here on a mission. This is something I never thought would have happened. So I would challenge you guys to be that good friend and I know God will bless you. And you don't have to force it. Just being a good friend and an example can go a long way.

Have a great week. Live life to the fullest!
