'Bushes Chicken'
Hows it going?? Another week sadly is gone over here in Odessa. It goes way too fast! On Tuesday we went out to fort stockton to sit in on the district council and then blitz their area. I went with Elder Robins. He heads home here in a week so it was a little difficult to help him stay on task. Nevertheless, I did get his really good Pokemon deck and now all of Odessa is scared to play me. I'm a nerd now, I know :)
We did some service out there and dug a 6ftx6ftx6ft trench and it was rough. We got the job done and took our fair share of ibuprofen. It was a good time to go serve with those elders and get to know them better, even though it was a fast exchange.
We had a really cool miracle! Luna is a lady that found us on social media and said that she has had tons of offers to go to other churches but never had an interest. She saw us though, and said that there was something she saw in us that she knows God wanted her to see. She only speaks spanish, and the fastest spanish ive ever heard, and we taught her a lot about prayer and the Restoration. She was so excited to come to church that she showed up an hour early!! It was awesome because we got to teach her before sacrament. It was incredible! We had to pass her off to the spanish sisters though…
We live in some wild times and things seem to be getting worse. But, the more I think about it, as the divide gets bigger, it is easier to see and cling to the gospel of Jesus Christ. It is the only peace we can find in this world. It is the only way that we can overcome the challenges and temptations we are all faced with. I know that God knows each of us and has a perfect love for us. Never get discouraged, always have an eternal prespective. Our goal is to return and live with Him and our families and He has provided that way back to Him through the joy of repentance. We can always come back and change.
