Wow this week flew by again! I can't believe Christmas is over :/ but, we can take the Christmas spirit with us through the new year!
This week was super fun! We did tons of Facebook Finding and are trying our best to find people to teach. We did the Foodbank and handed out the food again. We stacked up 384 cupcakes and gave them to a family. Hopefully they throw a "Covid Approved" party and can use all of them!
We got to go to Ft Stockton for their district council and it was super fun! They had a gift exchange and we all got McDanks after. It's the wild west out there in the district. We got to stop at the Monahans sand dunes on the way home. Pretty sweet stuff!
On Christmas eve, we got all the Elders and headed to Buffet King across the road. Round 4 was the charm and it hit the spot. I can't say no to a buffet.
Christmas was super fun to meet and teach some members. It's so fun to see the excitement the little ones have for Christmas! We got some cheapo quadcopter drones and have been flying them ever since. Good times!! We also got to go to an old folks home and sing to them. They opened the windows ans we sang to them from outside. It was so special and I am so grateful for the opportunity. It brought some hope to them and it put a smile on my face seeing them.
Anyways, I love this time of year and the opportunity to more fully contemplate the birth and life of the Savior Jesus Christ. It is amazing to sit and ponder how different our lives are because He came and sacrificed himself for us. We can change. We can improve. I know that He lives and loves us. Never lose hope and think you've gone too far and out of His reach. He is always reaching out and willing to forgive you and forget. He is not concerned with your past as much as he is with where you are now and what you can become.
I love you all and am so grateful for each of you!!
Happy New Year!
