It's been a wild 2 weeks out here in Puebla for sure. So before the sad stuff, Lidia the investigator that sells quesadillas (Mama Lidia) made tons of progress. We taught her the gospel of Jesus Christ and it was super cool. She accepted a baptismal date for the 5th of Abril and she is super excited. She is so happy and always smiling and such a joy to be around.
Besides that some dad and I almost threw some hands cuz he didn't let his son Martin be baptized. (Well, not really but...) He pulled a bunch of laws and rules out because he's a lawyer and said to his son that he doesn't have a voice or a brain until he by law is 18 to decide. We disagreed and in the lesson I was so fired up I was sweating. I testified of the First Vision, how Joseph had 14 years of age and that still, our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ appeared to him. We explained there's the law physically(18 years of age) and the law spiritually (8 years old) to feel and know what we should do. All in all an interesting visit that I will never forget!
As many of you already know, we got news yesterday that I have to go home (like the other Americans in my mission and many others) for 2 weeks in quarantine to be reassigned and serve in the US. There are so many emotions with this whole experience. I have laughed, cried, gotten mad, and felt peace in these times. I know the Lord has a plan for each one of us and I know it won't be easy, but it will be worth it. There are so many questions and unknowns about the future but I am grateful for the opportunity to still serve and be a part of the Lords work.
I love you all and am so grateful for all of the support. This is not the end!!
