This week was really special. IT all revolved around Silvia. We taught her again on Thursday and taught her about her eternal potential and how she is not living to her full potential. It went better than I thought because we didn't want to offend her. We challenged her to accept another baptismal date. She said she would give us an answer Friday night if she would be baptized on Saturday. We prayed so much that she would get her answer and know it's true. So many times, I remember pleading that Silvia will know the truth. Friday night at 8pm we got a call from Silvia. She was ready to be baptized on Saturday and was going to takeoff work all day to have the baptismal interview and her baptism.
I had the opportunity to baptize her and it was a special experience! She left the water crying and so, so happy. She came to church on Sunday and was confirmed a member of the church of Jesus Christ of latter day saints. It was incredible to be able to see all of her progress over time and see her make a sacred covenant with the Lord.
Today, I got transferred to the hottest and farthest place in the mission. It's called Izucar and me and my companion will be in a tiny pueblo. I am serving with Elder Arcze and he is Boliviano too. I guess I was made for a Bolivian comp again haha.
Love,
Elder Quack
