First week in the Field

Wow... what a crazy week! My P-Day was changed to Monday so I didn't get to talk for 10 days. My companion is Elder Sanchez. He is from Bolivia and only speaks Spanish… It's the best and the worst thing. I am learning Spanish quickly, but I can never really explain stories or funny things to my companion.
Our area is Cholula and we are in the city. Since we are white washed and neither of us know the city or members, we are starting out a little rocky. We don't even have a place to stay so we are bumming it at Elder Medina and Elder Obray´s casa living out of our suitcases for a while.
The area is huge and there is a ton of work to do. We are working through the members to find investigators and it's been working decently well. We have two golden investigators that are reading the Book of Mormon and keep letting us come back to teach them. Hopefully we can dunk them soon! We had an opportunity to help a member tear off his roof and move his furniture this week. But, one of the best parts of my day is always waking up and watching my companion shadow box. He is a black belt in jujitsu so we are always safe if someone tries to rob us.
We are trying to keep our heads up because we will fill our schedule and then when we arrive the people either aren't there or they cancel. I love it here though. I am learning so much and the spirit is always so strong when we teach. I love the people because they literally have nothing, but will give everything to you. Such a testimony builder to me that I need to be better.
This is by far the hardest thing I have ever done, but it is worth more than anything I've ever been a part of. So excited to see how this next week goes and hopefully get some baptismal dates!! Hope all is well at home!
