Hey y'all!
This week was pretty amazing! We had a really good time working hard. This email will be a little bit different.
I just wanna bear with you all my testimony. Of how much my testimony has strengthened. I thought coming on a mission all my temptations and problems would suddenly disappear. I thought no matter what I did i would be full of faith and conversion. I have come to learn that that is not the case. I'm not gonna lie, this past general conference was much needed. I love the spiritual reboot I felt! Oh how grateful we are to have a prophet on the earth today!
I can testify that President Russell M. Nelson is God's chosen prophet. I know because the spirit has testified to me. What an amazing general conference this was with many exciting announcements. I do know that this is the restored gospel here on the earth today.
My point being, I'm grateful for the blessings of this gospel. Even as a missionary my faith and testimony can easily weaken if I do not study and search the scriptures. Some of the hardest and most faith promoting experiences have been on my mission thus far. As well as many other missionaries, I've had ups and downs. Tears of joy and tears of sorrow.. however here's what I do know. That JESUS CHRIST LIVES. And because he lives death is not the end. That we can repent AND be forgiven. That he is the Savior and Redeemer of the world. That he rose on the third day. I am ever grateful of his example.
My dear friends and family, I love you. I love Christ. I write this with a full heart. I loved this general conference. It has strengthened my conversion to this gospel. I appreciate all the support I have received from y all. I pray earnestly for you all and I hope you can feel the love of God in your lives, as I have.
We did service at the bishops storehouse and it was in Normandy! So I got to go all the way back over the river to see my best friend Elder Shurtliff! I love that crazy man. But we went there with a member who coached Emmett Smith who played for the cowboys! He's now a recruiter for the entire state of Florida and is Mormon! He's awesome, I realized that football players in the south can whoop us out here in the west. So today is my 7 month mark! So that's exciting. It's been flying by but in perspective of a mission it's not that long haha. But a life time perspective it's incredibly short. It's been so much fun. I've loved all my companions and enjoy every thing they have taught me.
I hope everyone has an amazing week and enjoys the words from conference! I love yall!
