I'll be home for Christmas! Well... kinda haha - group email
Hey y'all!
So no.. I won't be home in AZ for Christmas but we had transfer call on Saturday night and I'm staying in NORMANDY ward for Christmas! Super excited. I didn't want to leave wards right before Christmas. So blessing! Our district switched around a bit which is sad but I'm grateful to meet new missionaries and have new opportunities.
Sister Lee has turned me into a singing fool! She wanted me to sing in the small choir for the mission Christmas party so I got up there and sang haha. I've developed so many new found passions and desires out here. Music being a big one especially have sister Lee being so into music. It's so great though honestly. The Christmas party was a lot of fun! The whole mission was there and it was good. I saw a lot of fun friends and familiar faces. Each zone prepared a 10 minute skit and ours was funny, instead of the 12 weeks of Christmas we did the 12 weeks of training. So we did all the stereotypical things trainees do haha. I was a good sport about it and got some funny roles haha 😂
This week has been really fun. We set another baptismal date! He's a young man who's really elect and I have good impressions about him. I really hope he just progresses though. He needs this in his life. We had a small little party at our ward mission leader house with investigators, less active members, recent converts, and some members. It was so much fun. We did a white elephant exchange haha. I got a 4x4 block of wood... what in the world. But I made everyone that was there sign it so it actually turned to something kimda cool haha.
Other than that it's been a pretty fun week! Christmas is approaching and it's getting more and more special. The spirit of Christmas really just unites people in the spirit of giving. How amazing is that. Everyone talks about how there's no snow so it doesn't feel like Christmas haha and I'm used to never seeing snow. And no one told me that not only does it get super hot, but it gets pretty cold here! It gets in the low 30s in the mornings and nights and it's super humid and rains so it goes right through your clothes and soaks into your bones. It's been fun though! I love you all! ❤
