I'm not sure how to summarize this week in a single word!

Family and Friends:

This week has been a bit of a mess. It has been a really good week but a roller coaster at the same time.

Tuesday we helped Gima with her lawn. It took longer to do it than we thought. Then it was off to interviews with Pres. Fife. Interviews were good and I got some good advice about the work and keeping focused. That night after we got home was pretty crazy with Linton and so we checked up on him. So, when we walked up , Paul answered the door and we talk for a while and find out there has been stuff going on between them. Eventually we go looking for Linton. We find him outside in the back and he’s just sitting there very quiet. Linton seems very dark (the only way I can think to describe him) to us and we try to see how we can help him. After talking to him for a while he is still dark so we sit down and start talking. Paul talks about how he is trying to be good and as Christlike as he can but didn’t know if Linton was willing to do it as well. I felt inspired to share Alma 12:24, Linton’s favourite scripture which reads, “And we see that death comes upon mankind, yea, the death which has been spoken of by Amulek, which is the temporal death; nevertheless there was a space granted unto man in which he might repent; therefore this life became a probationary state; a time to prepare to meet God; a time to prepare for that endless state which has been spoken of by us, which is after the resurrection of the dead.” At first he didn’t even want his scriptures, church, or Jesus Christ but after we had a heart to heart he wouldn't let us go and saying how he loves Christ and he needs Him in his life every day talking about the Atonement and how He knows us. The spirit was so intense that both of us were crying.

Thursday was a pretty normal day up till about 5:00. After lunch we tracted and followed up on a few people but no one was home. On our way back we got a call from Linton saying that Melody Chapman was going to his house to help with the Member lessons. On our way I got a flat tire... so we were a bit late to the lesson so when we got there we jumped in the lesson and soon after we got there Mel had to go. So we continued to teach and then Attrol (his 5 yr old kid) started crying. Linton started to give him what he wanted when I said ' If you never say no, he will always expect to get what he wants' Linton storms out yelling and swearing saying something to the effect of ' You don't know what they have been though! No one tells me how to raise my kids!' Linton and Paul started arguing and got pretty intense. We tried to calm them down but it worked after a few hours. We stayed the rest of the day and made sure that they didn’t kill each other. Maybe looking back I shouldn’t have said anything, I didn’t think he would take it quite like that.

Friday was Zone Conference and was pretty fantastic. It always is good but this one was awesome. One of the biggest things we learned about is the time we have on earth. In perspective, it will seem like just about 2 hours is our lifetime here on earth. Not that long. Basically out of a whole day we have to be on our best behaviour for only 2 hours. That’s it. It’s just a cool little comparison when you put our time on earth compared to eternity.

That's basically how the week went, sorry about skipping days but im running out of time. Ill send pictures next time. I love you all and cant wait to hear from you! Thanks heaps for your prayers.
