Sarmiento Chubut Argentina

Elder Alegra

This week was really great! Since my comp is district leader we had to go 3 hours more south to a town called Puerto Deseado. It is almost a carbon copy of Sarmiento so i felt right at home. We went down to help the elders for the day. It was amazing! I went with an elder named elder Littlefield from st george. We contacted a bunch and found 5 new people and taught all 5 of them in their house. It was super awesome to see how prepared some people are!! Then we found a bolivian lady who told to "just keep walking!" So obviously it wasnt her day haha!

This last Saturday i was able to participate in the baptism of Jairo Cuellar. He is a 19 year old kid from Bolivia that came here to live with his aunt and uncle. His aunt and uncle have been living here for about 10 years and just this last year their whole family got baptised. So i was able to be one of the witnesses for the baptism. his uncle baptised him and it was super awesome. After he came out of the water we meet him at the top of the stairs and he asked us if he could get baptised again! He is super awesome! He lives in the area of the hermanas so i didnt get a whole lot of time to get to know him but he is super funny. Yesterday when we did the confirmation during sacrament meeting he got super nervous and almost couldnt walk. After the confirmation he told me that he was so nervous but when we put our hands on his head and started the blessing he felt really calm. That for me was a testimony of the Holy Ghost. He was able to recognize it and he knew that was something he wanted to feel always!

I love you guys and thank you so much for everything you do for me! I have felt every prayer and have really felt the change! I have never felt closer to my father in heaven and i dont want to lose this! I have decided that if the church allows it would stay for as long as they would allow! I have never found so much happiness in the middle of so much difficulty. I know that this church is true and that joseph smith was a profet of god and he was inspired by god to translate the book of mormon. I also know with all my heart that the book of mormon is the most correct book on the earth and there isnt anyone who has found error and that is because this is the book translated by the power of god not by wisdom of men. I love this gospel and every blessing i have recieved and that god has in front of me.
