I am melting

It has been so hot here in the last week! Here in Sarmiento we have the lake super close so when its hot and you are a missionary that means you dont really find people!

We had to go to Comodoro this week for interviews with President. With the humidity there we almost died! At night we left a few windows open to allow a breeze. I was so tired and passed out and didnt wake up again until my comp kicked me at 630. Aparently durring the night me comp had to chase a cat around the pension two different times. Also with the window open and also a back door, the bedroom door was slamming shut and reoppening and slamming shut again. And I didnt hear a thing!!

Yesterday we were walking down the street to an investigators house when a man in a delivery truck stopped and asked us a very funny question. a little background first. We are missionaries so we have our shirts and ties and now in the summer we have sun glasses. So with the sun out we were wearing out sun glasses. I have my black framed oakleys and my comp black framed SPY glasses. Anyway we were walking and this man stopped and asked us, "Are you guys from the Air Force?" We politely answered no and walked away. 10 Seconds later we both just died of laughter.

This week was actually realy amazing and I learned a lot. I have a bit of advice for you guys preparing for missions. LEARN TO LEAD MUSIC!! Everyone told me the same thing but i always thought, eh ill serve in the states so there will be plenty of people to do that. I have had direct music every Sunday since i arrived in Argentina. I still have no idea what i am doing!! Also study the first vision and everything that led up to it. People always ask why Joseph Smith or what allowed for this all to happen or why the united states. STUDY!!! I have learned a lot about the history of our church in the last few months and it has helped a ton!

The most important thing you can do though is develop your testimony. Not just develop it but fortify it. there is a difference between something developed and something fortified. Fortify your testimonies of the Book of Mormon and of the plan of salvation. People want to know where they came from and why they are here.

I love you guys and hope all is well with all that snow!!
Love Elder Stauffer
