First Christmas!!

What a wierd Christmas! So Christmas here obviously is a bit different. First thing, NO SNOW!! Second, They celebrate Christmas Eve here. Everyone stays up until midnight playing games eating ASADO and hanging out with the family. At midnight you make a toast and then open all your presents. There is that and also the millions of fireworks that are going off everywhere. It was way cool to celebrate Christmas in Argentina, It was also cool to leave church and have it be 70 degrees outside!

So on the topic of church! Yesterday while sitting in church i was listening to one of the talks and i start to feel a little dizzy and light headed. I leaned forward and put my head in my hands and still felt a little wierd. After about 15 seconds i started to feel a little better. At this point i realized that there were things in the chapel that were still moving and swaying. I didnt think anything of it and just kept listening. Later as were setting up Skype in a members house and he asked us if we felt the Earthquake earlier. My comp and I both looked at each other with confused looks and asked when. Apparently my comp felt the same as I had during church. Turns out there was a almost 7 point earthqauke in chile, and we felt the aftershock. That is the first time in my life i have ever experienced an earthquake. It was not what i had imagined and earthquake would be!!

It was way awesome to talk to my family and see how everyone is doing. The time is flying by and i am about 3 weeks from leaving my first area and that is insane. I feel lik ei have been here forever but at the same time less than a few days!

Sorry this email is short but please go watch the Manakin Challenge that is on the facebook page of the mission. Watch the one in Comodoro and see if you can spot me! We are having a competion to see who gets the most views between all the videos!

Merry Christmas everyone and happy new year!! God loves you all and wants the best for all of you! Love you guys!!

ps. The picture below is my Christmas dinner. Yes that is chicken rice and mayonaise, and best of all BLOOD SAUSAGE!!
