Well, this week was a good one, but very hard. We have been just all over St. Joe. I honestly have been searching for some Spanish investigators to teach here while we look for those that are prepared. Mom I am going to tell you everything that is happening so if it sounds like I am rambuling off a list it because of you! ;)
Elder Crane is super awesome. He has only been out for about 4 months, but has been a very well equipped missionary. He knows his stuff. We got haircuts this last PDAY and I don't know if it looks good our not. Thanks Mom so much for the Harry Potter stuff! How much did you spend on this stuff? Elder Crane was super surprised that you actually sent us out the legit stuff, and so was I to tell you the truth. Yes, I love you mom ;). Thanks so much. I was going to open the package with Elder Gomez, but he lives 45 minutes away, and miles are a missionary's worst enemy. So, we couldn't drive over there to open it with him. I heard from the Elders up in Maryville the Otto children are now baptized!! I wish I would of been notified about their baptisms, because I wanted to go, but I am super glad that they got baptized. The missionaries are still working with Mia & Hunter. Super 😁 glad! One day they will be baptized! We helped deshell black walnuts for a couple hours. I have never done that before, and it was actually kinda fun, but our hands were black by the time we were done. They tasted pretty good too! Elder Crane and I are sick 😷. Well, we have sore throats, but its all good it will go away in a couple days. For Halloween we have to weekly plan, but after that we are going to make a few phone calls to set up appointments with people throughout the next week. Then we are going to do the Harry Potter games that you sent out! Gracias otra vez! We had two really good days this week on finding less actives, and meeting with them. Friday we called like over 80 people, and not everyone answered, but we were doing this for a couple hours. It is a lot more effective for some reason then knocking on their doors, and it saves time, miles, and gas. We have notes on almost everyone in our 500 person roster except those that have moved, and a few that don't answer the door or the phone.
We cut pumpkins 🎃 last PDAY with a really cool family in the other ward. We had a challenge with their kids, a younger couple and the other missionaries. We traded teams so, I got Elder Smith, and we won. It doesn't look the greatest with the pictures, because you can't really see the angels wings. Anyways everyone else did the simple smiley pumpkin faces. So, we won.
I have also started to play duolingo which has been fun, becasue I tested out the farthest you could test out, and have to do like 8 more until I am done, but you should start doing it too! My name is Corben524472. So you can try add me, and we can race to the finish line. I do a little bit at a time during Language study. :)
Elder Smith, and Elder Crane have been doing it too, but I have over. 2000 more points then them. My Spanish is still pretty bad, but I am getting a hold of some of it.
We helped this older lady the other day move like 70 boxes 📦 out of one room and into the other. Super nice lady though. An investigator that lives by her dropped us the other day. Super sad! I found where the Spanish people are! They work at Panda express which is awesome because I love Panda! We went there and Elder Gomez and I started to speak Spanish to them, and they gave us all free drinks, and a 10 percent discounts. It was super awesome. So, when we come back here after the missions I know some people at Panda express!🐼 😜
Yesterday for some language study I watched the testaments in Spanish which was super good, I love that movie! Mom emailed me the other day asking where I wanted to go for college, and my heart skipped a beat. I was like I still have 9 months Mom I don't want to start thinking about that! I still have no idea what I want to do with my life. For now it is to help those here in St. Joe Missouri. We have been trying to figure out some good ideas to get people to start inviting their friends to activities. Other then that not much else happened this week, but I am so grateful for all of you, and the support you give. I know that this work is the work of the lord. While I was watching the testaments, I felt the spirit really strongly and just how amazing it would have been to see him. He lives. I love you all and hope you have a wonderful week!
