Ok first off HOLY COW HOLY COW HOLY COW!!!!!!! this is like a million zillion times better than EFY or AFY! Everyone here is for the same purpose, to bring other unto Christ through faith in His atonement, repentance, baptism, recieveing the gift of the Holy Ghost and enduring to the end. (sorry if my speling and punctuation is off, you tend to not care in the mtc while taking notes cause everything goes sofast.)
So pretty much everyday is a blurr. You wake up then have classes all day. I am in a district with 8 companionships; 4 elders and 4 sisters. Man is it a blast! its only day 7 and we're so close out of nessecity casue we all were stripped from ours in the same hurried manner. So Like you know, elder simmons is my comp. and the other elders are going to Chicago along with two sisters (the other pair of sisters is going to tx fw with e. Simmons and i)
ok now to teaching, my favorite part. :) SO the first day we got a PI (progressive investigator) basically our teacher acting as one of his investigators and we just start. So as a general rule you commit your investigators to something, baptism usually, every lesson. So E. Simmons and i got Ivan. he is such a cool guy and had very little christian background. So E. Simmons and i thought itd be best if we start with the P of S so he can know he has direction and purpose for his life. last minute we changed the plan cause we didnt feel right. So, with like five minutes till we knocked, we came up with a different plan. We knocked and it began. We sat down talked and realized somthing. Ivan didnt know exactly who Christ was so we started from the beginning. we showed hi some versus our of 2 Ne. 32:5 10 11 i think, about the baptism of Christ and the example it was. plus also Alma 7:11-13. Long story short, we committed him to Baptism, praying and reading the BoM on the first go. It was legit!! I love the gospel. Oh my goodness there is just so much to tell y'all and my fingers can't keep up!! I am in the MTC choir singing bass which i couldnt do before truely but the Lord blesses those who serve others so i guess im a real bonafied bass now! I am a zone leader which they normally are in charge of a few disrects but because its the lower end of the fill line so to speak for he mtc we have one district which basically makes my position pointless... I do however, get to welcome and help elders and sisters tomorow.
It's crazy how much growth has happened over the last few days. Ive never felt the spirit this strongly so many times and so close together. you need not worry about me or any of my comps but all is well! well i think my right middle finger has an infected ingrown nail, but idk what to do about that. OH!! so elder Hannesson wasn't feeling well so we all got to give him a blessing and its my first time using oil!
