Ocotal Week 3

What's up!
This week was pretty crazy as normal haha, we are working super hard and we've been able to see a lot of miracles in the area. I'm super exhausted but it's always the best feeling in the world at the end of the day.
Today was a bit crazy, we had the baptismal service for la Hermana Guadalupe! We showed up to the church at around 7 AM to fill up the font, and as we arrived we found out that a guy had died front of the church! It was sad but here it is normal part of life (it wasn't the first and won't be the last time something something like that will happen), and it made things a bit hectic in the morning setting up for the baptism because the street became an crime scene. (I hope that the family and friends of this man are ok and that they will know they will see him again). By the time we got to the font we realized that there wasn't any water in the church, so we rushed over to los Bomberos (firefighters) to ask them if we could pay them to fill it up. Sadly almost all of the firefighters there were under 18 and didn't know what to do or how to operate the truck, so we gave up and looked for a different solution. We tried asking a guy with a truck full of water, but he also declined. In the end we ended up doing the baptism in a river about 30 minutes in bus from Ocotal and it was such a cool moment! It was so pretty, but what we felt from the spirit was the best part. With all the chaos of the day, it all ended up working out and Guadalupe enjoyed her special day.
Guadalupe is amazing, we found her about 3 weeks ago when a family member asked us to visit their house. She works there making Tortillas every day, and so to be able to help her get to church each Sunday we've showed up 2 hours early to make tortilla so that she can get ready. It's actually super fun haha and I'm officially a pro haha, but it's helped her so much. Her faith in God is very strong and she knows that she will recieve many blessings if she remains faithful to the covenants she has made with God.

Scripture of the Week
2 Nephi 31:18
"And then are ye in this strait and narrow path which leads to eternal life; yea, ye have entered in by the gate; ye have done according to the commandments of the Father and the Son; and ye have received the Holy Ghost, which witnesses of the Father and the Son, unto the fulfilling of the promise which he hath made, that if ye entered in by the way ye should receive."
