Buenas noches!
Another great week here in Ocotal. We had the baptism of Maria yesterday and it was super sweet. We had 14 friends go to church and they all stuck around for the baptismal service afterwards as well. It was amazing, afterwards Maria shared her testimony with everyone and it was super powerful and one of the best moments of my life. As missionaries it's so cool to see how we can connect people to God, we never are the ones who will convert anyone but we can help them build a relationship with God. All of our friends loved the meeting and I am sure all of them will get baptized soon.
Ocotal is a pretty small branch, so its been super cool being able to help work with members and be in charge of helping out with activities. On Saturday we had a Noche Familiar and it was super sweet in the church, the games and activities were great (we did the "tree of life" from Lehi's vision in the Book of Mormon again). We had a good turnout and it animated a lot of the members so it was a success. Sunday was good too, a lot of people came to church... except for the leaders haha. We showed up and by 10:10 (the meeting starts at 10) we could see that no one was coming. It was pretty fun haha, I got up and made a quick agenda, direct the sacrament meeting, help out and direct the music, give a talk, teach Sunday school, and bless the Sacrament so that was sick! I am sure the branch president and his first counselor will be back next Sunday, but it was fun while it lasted. It was worth seeing all of the members and investigators happy in the end.

Mormon 8:16, "And blessed be he that shall bring this thing to light; for it shall be brought out of darkness unto light, according to the word of God; yea, it shall be brought out of the earth, and it shall shine forth out of darkness, and come unto the knowledge of the people; and it shall be done by the power of God."

- Zone conference! I got to direct it and it was sick, we learned a lot from President Perez about how to be more efficient missionaries.
- Noche Familiar! Tree of life activity
- Baptism of Maria De Los Angeles Rodriguez!
- P-Day trip/hike in Dipilto and Las Manos: The mountains above Ocotal are super beautiful, there's a huge pine tree forest and we did a little hike in the woods to see "La Virgin de la Piedra." Afterwards we went to Las Manos on the border of Honduras to try some Honduran food (no worries we didn't cross the border haha) and came back to eat pizza. 🇭🇳
