Bye bye Bilwi

What's up!
I hope everyone is doing great, these last few weeks have been crazy so sorry that I haven't been able to write to much. Last week I got transfered from Puerto Cabezas to my new area of Ocotal! I'm super excited to be here, Ocotal is in the mountains on the border with Honduras and it's super pretty. I've been in the 3 farthest areas of the mission haha, so its getting pretty obvious that President doesn't want me near him jk. I'm opening the area with my new companion Elder Zaldaña, who is from El Salvador and I'm excited to get to work with him. He's brand new to the mission so I will be training him and he is my first son (Yay I'm not barren!). The branch is very small here, only about 15 members go to church but don't worry we are going to change that 😎.
It was definitely tough leaving my last area of Lamlaya, in my 6 months there I had made so many friends and we had so much success. 47 people joined the covenant path and the attendance more than tripled. During the week we worked a lot to begin to develop pregrams to help the members stay active, we started family home evenings in the homes of some of the members and we put together the first mutual activity ever! It eas sick, we made the tree of life/iron rod maze through the churxh and did some games and over 50 kids showed up! It was so much fun.
Last Sunday was my final day in Puerto, so I was able share my testinony and say goodbye to everyone. It was super cool to see everyone come, we had over 100 members show up. The end the meeting, the 2nd counselor Carlos (ex pastor) got up and changed the last hymn to God be with you till I meet again. During the hymn, almost everyone in the congregation came up began to hug me and say goodbye. I totally cried haha, I was so happy and sad at the same time. I'm definitely sucj a cry baby, because cried again that next day when we left again on the little airplane for Managua as well. I'm so grateful for the time and the chance I was able to have to be in Puerto Cabezas, I know that many missionaries dont get the chance to be in an area like Lamlaya and I know that it was all the Lord's work and not mine. I know that God loves the people there so much and that the church will continue to grow.
I am super excited to see some more miracles here in Ocotal and I'll keep you guys posted in the next few weeks!

Spiritual Thought
I have grown to love the message of the Restoration so much, it truly is a Testament that God loves us so much. It is something that Isaiah testified would come, which says "Wherefore the Lord said, Forasmuch as this people draw near me with their mouth, and with their lips do honour me, but have removed their heart far from me, and their fear toward me is taught by the precept of men. Therefore, behold, I will proceed to do a marvellous work among this people, even a marvellous work and a wonder: for the wisdom of their wise men shall perish, and the understanding of their prudent men shall be hid." It's so amazing that we know the church of Jesus Chirst is on the earth today, it was something I took for granted as I kid and never really appreciated fully until I got on the mission. I've seen how this knowledge truly has changed so many lives and helped me to understand how important this work is.
