What's up!
Hope everyone is having a great start of July! It's crazy how fast the time has gone by, it seemed like the year just started but now we are already halfway through. Everything is going great here in Lamlaya, we got transfer news last Thursday and it turns out I'll be staying here and running it up with Elder Rac for another transfer. I'm super excited to be here in Puerto Cabezas, we've been able to see a lot of miracles and I know there's much more to come.
Puerto Cabezas is a super sweet but also a bit crazy of a town haha. Here's some of the highlights
- Speaking the Miskito Language
- Watching my comp almost get run over by a stampede of Wild horses 🐎
- Eating turtle, lobster, shrimp, cow guts/brains, and sea slug 😋
- Fighting off robbers trying to enter the house
- Walking home each night under the stars and with fireflies in the air
- P-Day playing soccer at the beach in the Caribbean 😎
- Power in Preiesthood Blessings/ casting out demons
- Lots of Rain! 🌧
- Digging and Cleaning wells
- Getting to know so many great people and helping them enter in the covenant path.
My time here has definitely flown by fast and I'm excited to see what comes next!

Inska àiikra - Fisherman
Spiritual Thought
I love the story in the book of Mathew about how Jesus Christ called his apostles. "And Jesus, walking by the sea of Galilee, saw two brethren, Simon called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea: for they were fishers. And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men. And they straightway left their nets, and followed him," (Mathew 4:18-20). The apostles of Jesus Christ recieved the call to serve and left all they had immediately to serve him. Today Jesus has the same invitation for us, and while we aren't fisherman we still need to "straightway" leave our "nets" behind to follow him. Our nets are a bit different for us today, but they are the things we have that hold us back from being full disciples of Christ. My invitation for everyone is that they can truly leave their nets (the things that separate us from Christ) fully behind and to follow Jesus Christ, and I promise that you and all those you love will be blessed!
