Good night!
I hope everyone has had a great week. We've been working really hard here in Lamlaya and it's been pretty cool to see some more miracles. This Sunday we had 14 friends go to church, including a family of 8! It was really cool to see them all there and they all seemed to enjoy Sacrament meeting and Sunday school as well.
As I mentioned in my first email, Puerto Cabezas is a really sick town and a unique place to serve! For one, the native and most spoke language here is a dialect called Miskito. It's been super fun to learn a third language and while it's definitely taken a bit of work (and a toll on my Spanish and English haha) it's helped me to connect more with the people. This is the only area in the world that speaks this language and the church is still a bit new here, so we still don't have teaching supplies (Books of Mormon, pamphlets, lessons, etc) in Miskito. I've been able to use some pictures and an old dictionary to make some supplies to teach the lessons which has helped a lot (I'll put a Pic at the bottom).
This area is also a young branch, so its been cool to have a bigger part in helping and leading others. At times the Sundays can be a bit tiring leaving early from the house to bring/invite members and investors to church, helping plan/run sacrament meetings, leading music, giving last second talks, teaching Sunday school, planning the agenda for the next week, doing branch paperwork, etc, but it is always super rewarding at the end of the day. This branch is the best and I'll never forget these people and the impact they've made on my life and everyone else.
