Buenas noches!
¿Que tal como están? This week was super crazy but definitely one of the best times I've had in the mission. We worked really hard and it was great to see the fruits of our labors.
Here in Nicaragua mother's day is on the 30th, so we thought it would be a great idea to plan a party to celebrate. It ended up being an insane amount of work, but with help from the other elderes, Felipe, and Carlos it ended up being great! The mothers enjoyed the games, activities, songs (we sung a special song haha), and the food. We had over 70 people come and about 20 of them were investigators. It truly was a miracle that everything worked out and it was amazing to see God's hand in it all.
This Sunday was very special as well. Carlos (the ex Moravian pastor) got called as second counselor en the branch Presidency and Jima (a convert we baptized a month ago) got to bless the Sacrament. It was a very cool moment to see how much the branch has changed in the few months we've been here. After the church service, we rushed over really quick to the church and we had our baptismal service for the Family Vargas Rigoberto. They are an amazing family, and we've been teaching them for over a month so it was so cool to finally see them get baptized. We had the wedding for Mainor and Martina at 2, and then at 3 we had the baptismal service for the 9 of them! It was amazing and I'm so grateful that the Lord blessed me to get to know them. After the baptismal service Mainor thanked me for all of what we had done and it was such a cool moment that I'll never forget. I'm super excited to see them continue to grow and be blessed in the gospel.

Spiritual Thought
Every missionary loves the story of Ammon. He brought thousands of people to Christ and changed the lives of so many people. He served God and the people with all of his heart and he was blessed for it. I love what he says to the people afterwards in Alma 26:11-12, "But Ammon said unto him: I do not boast in my own strength, nor in my own wisdom; but behold, my joy is full, yea, my heart is brim with joy, and I will rejoice in my God. Yea, I know that I am nothing; as to my strength I am weak; therefore I will not boast of myself, but I will boast of my God, for in his strength I can do all things; yea, behold, many mighty miracles we have wrought in this land, for which we will praise his name forever." It is by God's power that people can be changed, and we as men are nothing.

- Pics in the rain: We've entered the rainy season! It has rained a lot and I'm starting to understand why all of the houses are built on stilts haha! Lots of the streets have been filled with water and it has been crazy.
