#1 Well Diggers in Puerto Cabezas
¡Buenas noches!
I hope everyone is having a great night! This week went by really quick and it's been so cool to see how the people we have been teaching have been able to progress and come closer to Jesus Christ. Hermana Solanji is one of the people I've seen grow a lot over the last few weeks. She has grown to see how God has a plan for her and her children and how being a part of the church can be a blessing in her life.
After she went to church yesterday, we stopped by her house to see how she was doing and I noticed that her well had dried up. For almost all of the people here, well water is the only source of water that they use. We knew it was a big deal, so I asked her if it would be OK if we passed my Monday morning (today) to help deepen her well. She thought we were joking, but when we showed up today she was shocked with surprise. It was a very memorable experience and while we weren't able to finish completely, I know that she was very grateful for our work. It also caught the eye of some of the other ladies in the neighborhood, and by the time we were finished we had brought in a bit of a crowd to see the crazy Gringo and Honduran digging a well. I love how we can find joy in helping others because we truly are serving God, and the blessings we will recieve in this life and the life to come will be worth it to those who choose to serve him.

Spiritual Thought
One of my favorite scriptures to share with people is Helaman 5:12 which says, "And now, my sons, remember, remember that it is upon the rock of our Redeemer, who is Christ, the Son of God, that ye must build your foundation; that when the devil shall send forth his mighty winds, yea, his shafts in the whirlwind, yea, when all his hail and his mighty storm shall beat upon you, it shall have no power over you to drag you down to the gulf of misery and endless wo, because of the rock upon which ye are built, which is a sure foundation, a foundation whereon if men build they cannot fall." I hope everyone can continue to work to have Christ be the foundation of your life so that when the trials come and we are tempted by the adversary, we will always be strong 💪.

- Working in Lamlaya: We have been working hard with local leaders to open a new branch in a community called Lamlaya! There is still a lot of work to be done but I'm excited to see how much progress we have made.
- Cows: Here in Puerto Cabezas there are a lot of stray cows and horses. They are nicknamed "los perros de Puerto" just because they are found everywhere haha.
Shout out to my dad, I hope you had an amazing birthday! Thanks for being the best father I could have every asked for.
