Tignia yamni!
It's been a really great week, we've been able to find a lot of positive people and it's been cool to the changes they've made in their lives. One of my favorite people that I've met on my mission is a man named Jeffery. I definitely will not forget the first day we found him, we were in the middle of teaching Pito and Valeska (his brother and sister in law) when all of sudden he opened the door. He was insanely drunk, he stumbled into to room, grabbed my shoulder, and then sat down in front of us and demanded that we "spoke the Bible to him." I told him that we would love to teach him, but it would be better if we came back a different day when he was all better. We left him a pamphlet of the Word of Wisdom and we left soon after.
When we came back a few days later to teach the family, Jeffery was sober and ready to learn. He pulled out an old "Principles of the Gospel" book (that was missing half of the pages) that he had found months before. He said he had read the book and loved the message about the Plan of Salvation but didn't know what church it was from. Happily we explained it to him, strengthened his understanding of the message, and left him with a Book of Mormon to read. Within the next 2 weeks, he read all the way to Alma 30 all on his own! He gave us a perfect summary and analysis of the story of the Book of Mormon, from Nefi obtaining the brass plates all the way to Zeezrom and Alma. It was amazing to see how the little things he has done (reading the scriptures and praying each day, going to church) has helped change him into a better man. He's given up drinking and is working to be baptized within the next two weeks! I'm so excited to see him progress and the affects his conversion will have on all those around him. The power of the Book of Mormon is real and it's amazing to see the change it makes in the lives of those who read it.

- Pipino del Mar: the main fishing product here in Puerto. Most of the people here make a living by scuba diving fishing. Its super cool, but the people say it's very dangerous because of shark and barracuda attacks.
- A Nicaraguan delicacy we ate here for lunch was fried sea slug
