¿Que tal como estan?
I hope everyone is doing great! This week was pretty busy with Zone Conference, we learned some great news that the apostle Quentin L. Cook is going to visit us February 20th! We are super pumped and excited to hear from an apostle of God and to see what he will tell us.
One of the coolest parts of this week was finding a kid named Steven. He is 16 and is an absolute stud. When he was growing up he was very involved with the things of the world, but after a bit of time he realized that there had to be something more to life and began searching for the things of God. He visited the Evangelist and Catholic churches in La Colonia Roque (his town), but every time he went he felt like they lacked something more. One day, Steven felt prompted that he needed to go with his uncle Richard (member) to visit our church here in San Benito. When he came, he felt different and that he wanted to know more. The following Tuesday we were able to visit him and share the message of the Restoration. It was so cool to see him feel the spirit testifying that the message was true. I'm so excited to watch him continue to progress and draw closer to God within these next few weeks!

Fun Fact about San Benito 🇳🇮
One of the largest neighborhoods in San Benito is called "Los Novios," or "The boy/girlfriends," because of an Nicaraguan Legend. A long time ago, there was a couple who lived in the neighborhood and wanted to get married. However, some of the other neighbors didn't aprove. The day of the marriage, the young couple began walking to Tipitapa (another city) for the ceremony when they were murdered by their fellow family and friends! I'm not exactly sure how true it is haha, but it's a crazy Romeo and Juliet story the natives love tell.

Spiritual Thought
1 Nephi 3:7, "And it came to pass that I, Nephi, said unto my father: I will go and do the things which the Lord hath commanded, for I know that the Lord giveth no commandments unto the children of men, save he shall prepare a way for them that they may accomplish the thing which he commandeth them." One of the amazing things about this life is that the Lord always has a way for us to obey and do his will. It may not be the way that we think or even the easiest option for us, but through the help of God he will always provide the means for us to accomplish what is necessary.

-One day we were passing by one of our investigators and we saw that they were adding on another side house! Elder Ramos and I quickly ran over and got to work building a door for the house. I don't know if it's because I have my dad's genes or if it was help from God haha, but with what few pieces of tin, wood, and nails we had we were able to put together a pretty darn good door (for Nicaraguan standards). The family was very happy with our work and ecstatic to have a door for their house!
