6 Months!

What's up!
Another great and wild week here in San Benito. It's crazy how fast the time flies by, last Wednesday I hit 6 months and it feels like I've only been here for 6 weeks haha. It's been a privilege to have been able to get to know and serve the people here in Nicaragua, and I'm super excited for the next 18 months that follow!
This week we have been working a lot on helping our investigators progress and develop spiritually so that they can be ready to make their baptismal covenant with God. I'm so excited for Hermana Elizabeth (who will be baptized this Saturday), Hermana Vilma, andthe family of Marcia, Jordin, and Franchesca. They've grown so much and I'm praying that they will continue to draw closer to God!

Spiritual Thought
Alma 34:32, "For behold, this life is the time for men to prepare to meet God; yea, behold the day of this life is the day for men to perform their labors." I love this scripture much because it really puts into perspective of our purpose of our life on the Earth. It doesn't say anything about what challenges we are going to face, but rather how the importance of this life is the manner that we chose to react to it and "perform our labors." Another quote that I like a lot is from Thomas Edison that says, "life is 10% what happens to us and 90% what we decide to do about it." This life isn't without its difficulties, but we can make it a whole lot easier if we chose to react to it in a positive way rather than sitting around and complaining.

- Divisions with Elder Lorenzo: Visit with Maria, Franchesca, and Lorenzo (the parrot haha), and hospital (I got parasites again)
- Pic with Hno Marlon: Amember that we are teaching English and training to be the Elders Quorum President here in San Benito
- The Elders Jacklin (friends from Riverside) found my bud Elder Montenegro from La Dalia in the MTC of Brazil!
- I'm rocking the bucket hat haha! I don’t know if it is still popular in the states, but it was a gift from one of our investigators and I'm starting to love it
