¡Buenas Dias!
This week Elder Méndez and I had a cool experience. I had been praying for us to find some more positive people to teach, and the Lord answered my prayer in a way I never would've expected. We were taking the bus back to La Dalia after Zone Conference and the bus was packed and crazy as usual (I'll send a pic below as a reference haha). We got pushed to the back of the bus and we were kinda squished together with a lot of other people. While it was a bit uncomfortable, we had the great opportunity to talk with a lot of different people and their families during the 2 hour bus ride. It was a amazing experience sharing the gospel with so many people from different parts of Nicaragua.
By the end of the bus ride, we were talking with a woman named Leydis and her daughter Marcciel. While we didn’t have a lot of time to talk on the bus, she said that she had some questions about our church and would like us to visit her one day. Yesterday night we had the opportunity to go and visit her and her family and it was great! She had some crazy questions about our church (her pastor had told her some weird stuff about her church), and it was cool to answer her questions and her concerns. One of the coolest parts of the lesson was being able to teach her about the Book of Mormon. Her face lit up when we told her about how Jesus Christ really had visited the people in the Americas, and she was super excited to read, ponder, and pray to God to know if it was true. I am so grateful that God trusted me and my companion to be the missionaries to share the gospel with Hermana Leydis and her family. It was a great testament to me that God knows his children and how he uses his missionaries to minister to them.

Fun Fact about Nicaragua 🇳🇮
One of the biggest holidays here in Nicaragua is La Gritería on December 7th. It's a day that many catholics celebrate the Virgin Mary by giving gifts, singing songs, and lighting fireworks. It's a pretty crazy night for sure haha, my companion and I were coming out of an lesson when all of the sudden a little kid lit a firework and threw it 2 feel away from us. It went off and none of us were hurt at all haha, but I was definitely deaf for the next 2 hours.
Spiritual Thought
Revelations 3:20 "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me." One of my things about Christ is how he is always ready and waiting for us. He is knocking at the door, we just need to open it.
