What's up!
Hope everyone had an amazing Thanksgiving! It's so crazy how fast the time flies by, this week was pretty great for us here in La Dalia. As of lately we have been adventuring a bit out of La Dalia to other towns in our area. On Thursday was had the chance to visit one of the people we have on date to be baptized in a place called La Isla de Peñas Blancas, which translates to "the island of white cliffs." It was super beautiful and it amazing to teach her and her family and to get to know more of the people who live there. It was also really cool because we were the first missionaries to go to that part of Nicaragua! It's amazing how fast the gospel is spreading and I'm glad that I can be a small part of it.
This Sunday was amazing too because we're able to have 38 people come to church! It is super cool because it's actually the record in attendance for the branch here in La Dalia. We have been working hard to teach and reactivate a lot of the families here, so it was nice seeing so many of them be able to go to church and take the sacrament. It's a huge improvement from the 9 people that used to come to church during my first few weeks here, but there's still a lot of work to do (there's about 250 inactive members that we still need to get to church haha). If we are able to get 40 people to come for the next 4 weeks they will actually build a church here so I'm really hoping we can hit that number this next transfer.
Thanks everyone for all of the support and emails! I'm sorry if I'm not able to get back to everyone, I hope you guys are having an amazing Monday!

Fun Fact about Nicaragua 🇳🇮
Funny thing about Nicaragua is that almost all of the clothes here are American made! When you go to a little store to buy clothes, it's pretty fun because it's a little bit like thrifting haha. You never know what you're going to find, the other day I found a sick vintage 70's chargers hat (my favorite team) for 75 cents. It's a big thing here to wear American shirts and people are really proud to have something from the US (even if they don't know what the shirt says because its in English). At times too it is the only shirt that the person has. While its definitely a bit funny at times, it has made me appreciate all that I have been blessed with. Here are some of my favorite things I've seen here in La Dalia.
2 BYU shirts
1 BYU Idaho shirt
1 shirt of a High school that I played against in water polo
1 FSY shirt
3 Grown Men wearing High school girl cheer shirts
Spiritual Thought
I love this scripture in 2 Nephi chapter 27 that talks about the power of miracles. Verse 23 says, "For behold, I am God; and I am a God of miracles; and I will show unto the world that I am the same yesterday, today, and forever; and I work not among the children of men save it be according to their faith." It is amazing that God really is a God of miracles and that we can see them in our day. We only need to have the faith to believe, and really anything is possible. In the mission I've been blessed to be able to see these miracles each day. There are still difficult and disappointing times, but I know that when we search and pray every day for miracles we will be able to find them (and almost always in the place where you least expect).
