1st Transfer
Hello Everyone!
I am super excited I am staying in La Dalia for another transfer! I have a new companion, Elder Soto, to finish my training here. He is from Chihuahua, México and he is a super cool guy. I am excited to work hard and continue the work here in La Dalia and hopefully my comp can help me improve my soccer skills too!
I had one of the coolest experiences of this week working with my comp in the MTC! I spent a lot of time outside of La Dalia because I needed to get my residencia in Managua and we had transfers at the end of the week, so Elder Hudson and I were comps for 2 days! On Thursday we got put together with Elder Lozano (who also only has a transfer in the mission too haha) and we went contacting in Matagalpa. It was an amazing experience and we were able to have a lot of success. We met an awesome guy named Laslo, and after introducing the Book of Mormon he felt that the message we was true and that he wanted to be baptized! It was super cool, we put him on date to be baptized for the 4th of November and immediately after that he wanted us to share it with rest of his family too! It is amazing to see how the Lord has prepared people to hear his gospel. I am jealous Laslo doesn't live in my area haha but I am so happy that I was able to be a part of this experience.

Fun Fact about Nicaragua 🇳🇮
One of the coolest things about Nicaragua is that it is super easy to live here! As missionaries we actually become residents of Nicaragua instead of applying for a Visa. It's pretty sweet, as of Thursday I'm officially a Nicaraguan!
Spiritual Thought
As missionaries we always emphasize the importance of faith whenever we share a message with someone. Faith is a principle of action, it takes more than just believing in something to recieve results. We need to ACT on our faith. One of the scriptures I love is James 2:17, which says that "Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone." One of my favorite analogies of this is that faith is like a seatbelt. We know that wearing a seatbelt in a car can save your life if there is a car accident, but the seatbelt won't do anything for us if we don't take the time to put it on (thanks Bishop Merrill and Mission Prep). This same is with the gospel. We can believe that Book of Mormon is true, but if we don't take the time to read and prat about it there is no way we can have a testimony in it. And without a testimony in the Book of Mormon, there is no way we can "have the fullest measure of peace and comfort in these our times" (Jeffery R. Holland). So if we want to KNOW that this message and this gosepl is true, we need to have the faith to act to recieve an answer.

I'll try to get more pictures this week of some of the wildlife here! La Dalia is awesome because I've been able to see a lot of monkeys, sloths, huge spiders, etc
