Cascada Blanca

Hi everyone!
This week was pretty amazing. For P-Day we went to Cascada de la Luna which is a waterfall about a 20 minute bus ride from La Dalia. It was a beautiful little hike and a perfect place to take a picture. We also had our Zone Conference in Matagalpa on Thursday. It was great to meet up with all the guys in the area, eat some good food, and receive some amazing advice from President Perez (our mission president). He is a great leader and I can tell that he cares a lot about each of the missionaries and the work here in Nicaragua.
Other than that nothing too crazy has happened, it is the last week of the transfer so we are wrapping things up pretty quickly. We have been teaching a lot of amazing people and I hope that I can stay in La Dalia to continue to teach them. I am so glad that I can be a part of this amazing work, it isn't easy but it's so rewarding.

New Word in Spanish
Cuaja - "Cheese"
Finca - Farm

Fun Fact about La Dalia 🇳🇮
Many of the people of La Dalia are farmers so we do a good amount of service on "fincas". They grow a lot Coffee, Bananas, Nancite, Mangos, Oranges, and Dragonfruit. Nicaragua is known for its amazing coffee (don't worry I haven't tried it haha) but everything else is super good too.

Spiritual Thought
Mosiah 2:41 "And moreover, I would desire that ye should consider on the blessed and happy state of those that keep the commandments of God. For behold, they are blessed in all things, both temporal and spiritual; and if they hold out faithful to the end they are received into heaven, that thereby they may dwell with God in a state of never-ending happiness. O remember, remember that these things are true; for the Lord God hath spoken it." This is one my favorite scriptures because the lord promises that we will be happy and blessed for eternity if we continue to be obedient to the commandments of God. It isn't always easy, but I know the blessings will always outweigh the trials we are facing.

- We did service making Cuaja or the Nicaraguan version of cheese for one of the families we are teaching! It doesn't taste nearly the same as the cheese back home but it fun to make.
- Picture with Omar: We have been teaching Omar and his family a lot this week! After we made Cuaja at his house, he asked for me to send a picture of him back to the states so he could become famous haha.
