Tallest person in La Dalia?

Hi guys!
Hope everyone had an amazing week, the time has been flying by so fast and I'm loving the time I have here! This week has been a bit crazy, we had Super P-Day in Managua on Monday and my companion had to go back to the mission office to get some paperwork done so I have been in Matagalpa a ton! It's been super cool being paired with other missionaries and I've learned a lot from each of them. For Thursday and Friday I was put together with the ZLs, Elder Hudson, and Elder Adams (my buds from the MTC) so it was a sweet reunion there.
In La Dalia we have been able to make a lot of progress over the last few weeks. One of the things that I love in Preach My Gospel is how our job as missionaries is to leave the ward (or branch) stronger than when we came, so we've taken this to heart and have been focusing a lot of attention on helping members come back to church. The branch here in La Dalia is pretty small (usually about 10 people come each week), but the lord has been able to work through our hands and the church attendance has doubled! There's still a lot of work to do here but I am so excited to be a part of it.
Saturday and Sunday were extra special this week because we had general conference! It is amazing to hear the words of God through divinely appointed apostles and church leaders. While I definetely missed not waking up to Jiffy Blueberry muffins and monkey bread in the morning, this conference was extra special for me and one of my favorites because I was able to listen to it in Spanish! My spanish has grown a ton and I was able to understand pretty much all of what everyone had to say. There was so many great talks but i especially loved what Henry B. Eyring, President Nelson, and Ronald A. Rasband had to say, so if you haven't had the opportunity to listen to conference definetely take the time!

New Words in Spanish
Jerga - Slang
Cuechar - gossip (a Nicaraguan Jerga)

Fun Fact about Nicaragua
One of the weirdest things here is how Nicaraguans play basketball! There's a pickup basketball league that plays here in La Dalia Monday nights (p day), so I've been able to play a lot. Dribbling isn't huge here haha so there's a lot of travels and people only shoot bank shots! I've kinda been able to adapt a bit and it's been a lot of fun to play especially because I'm a lot taller than everyone else. I'm 95% I am the tallest person in La Dalia which is crazy because I'm barely 6 foot.

Spiritual Thought
In Chapter 18 of Mosiah there is a special place called the "Waters of Mormon," where the profet Alma was able teach and baptize everyone who was "desirous to come into the fold of God" and "stand as a witness of God at all times and in all things and in all places." This place became beautiful to them because it was where "they came to the knowledge of their redeemer." I know that La Dalia and all of Nicaragua will always have a special place in my heart because I have learned how to fully rely on the savior. I've also been blessed to help so many people because the Lord has put me in the right places, and I hope the gospel will make as big as an influence on their lives as it has made on mine.
