Hello Everyone!
It's crazy that it has already been a week! I know many people have said this and its only my second week here, but it is so true that the "days go by like weeks and the weeks go by like days." There have been so many amazing experiences in La Dalia and I have been so blessed to meet so many great people.
One of the coolest experiences this week was the Dia de Independencia! Here in Nicaragua (and for most of the countries in Central America) it is a huge celebration. There is a big parade through the city with bands, dancers, etc and lots of parties afterwards. As missionaries we weren't allowed to leave the house because it's a bit crazy haha, so sorry that the pictures aren't too great! It was really cool though being able to learn more about Nicaraguans and their culture by watching the parade and listening the to music.
Another thing I love about living here in the mountains of La Dalia is the crazy weather! In the mornings it's usually really hot until about 2 PM, but after that from about 2-9 there are insane thunder storms and it POURS. It might not be too weird, but being raised in SoCal I've never seen so much rain water in my life! I know I've said this before but it is amazing how beautiful Nicaragua is, the plants and wildlife are so cool.
I can't wait to continue this great work! Even in my first week and half here I have had so many great experiences and seen many miracles, and I know that there are many yet to come.

Fun Fact about Nicaragua
Nicarguans love their music! I don't know too many of the artists (my companion had to fill me in), but have heard a lot of Viciente Fernandez, Joan Sebastian, Kevin Kaarl, and Shakira walking through the streets. There are a surprising amount of, American songs too like "I'm a believer" by the Monkees and "Flowers" by Mylie Cyrus.
Spiritual Thought
One of my favorite promises in the BOM is in Mormon 9:21, which says, "Behold, I say unto you that whoso believeth in Christ, doubting nothing, whatsoever he shall ask the Father in the name of Christ it shall be granted him; and this promise is unto all, even unto the ends of the earth." It is amazing how God will always answer our prayers when we have faith in Jesus Christ!
