Hi everyone!
The MTC has been amazing and it is crazy that it is already time go! There have been so many miracles that I have seen here and each one of them is a testimony to God and his work here on the Earth. I leave for Nicaragua next week with Elder Hudson (my companion), Elder Taylor, and a couple other guys. Even though my spanish isn't too great, I am so excited to get to the country and begin to work. We just started the SYL portion of our MTC training so we can only speak in Spanish to everyone right now. It is difficult but I am grateful for the opportunity to learn and grow.
These last few weeks have flown by so fast. Everyone in our district has gotten so close with each other and we have become sort of like a family. Playing baseball in the hallways, drafting apostles and members of the 70 for "Fantasy Devotionals," doing a homeade ping pong (pelota de chancla) tournament with the guys on our floor, weekly classes, and post-devotional testimony meetings have been so fun. It is going to be so hard leaving them on Thursday but I know they will all be great missionaries!
We have also been able to hear from a lot of great speakers here at the MTC, including Elders David A. Bednar, Peter M. Johnson, and Carlos Godoy. I loved each of their messages and hope to apply what they have taught me to my missionary service.
I can't wait to get in the mission field! I promise to write more often once I get to Nicaragua.
Fun Words I learned
Es un Broma - Just Kidding
Pecado - sin vs Pescado - fish (Don't mix them up in a lesson haha)
Spiritual Thought
Ether 12:6 "I would show unto the world that faith is things which are hoped for and not seen; wherefore, dispute not because ye see not, for ye receive no witness until after the trial of your faith."
