What happened this week? We went to a party, been left home alone as the Heilmann's are out to a grandsons graduation in Reno. We did a service project with meals on wheels and met a new investigator there. We set an appointment with for yesterday so we show up and have a bomb discussion. Lisa has a dog named Bear (seems to a common dog name). Afterwards we had a fun time playing magic the gathering in the park. We saw a former investigator there and in the conversation it came out that Elder Muhonen and I haven't really played. So they started up a game to teach us and Alex said he'd give us both a deck! So that will be fun.
Transfers are this next week, we'll find out Saturday night. More than likely I will be leaving the area though since I've been here 6 months. Sadly, we think elder Muhonen will leave too. He's heard some stuff from President but you never really can tell.
We found a service project that I have fallen in love with! We helped a member unload and sort a part of his stored Modles. Somehow he got hold of the "remains" of a lot of wooden model planes, cars, and instruments. We helped pull some out and gather as many of them together as possible. They were thrown into boxes in pieces and randomly. Many were damaged, and a lot only had a few things missing. He gave us some afterwards to so I ended up with a bi-plane and a gutair while Elder Muhonen got a grand piano. They are so cool and we were very thankful.
I was asked to give a training in district meeting on recognizing and following the spirit this week. It was a lot of fun and I learned a lot from it. I ended up basing it off of Elder Wilson of the Seventy's talk in last general conference, "take the holy spirit as your guide." In it he gives a three step formula for receiving revelation.
Be proactive (how can I be part of the solution)
Practice so you know His voice when you need it.
Hope you all have a great week, (especially with the reunion), and stay safe,
