Castle Rock

Elder Turner

Festival of nativities

Today has been a lot of fun. The missionaries in the zone were asked to help set up for the festival of nativities so we showed up at the stake center at 8 and moved a lot of stuff. It was just like being asked to set up someone else's traveling set. We did most of the moving of things and very little of the fun stuff but they feed us after. 😁 It displaced our emailing time though so we are playing as many games.
We took an investigator to the temple visitor center on Saturday and it was cool. They have some amazing videos to show and the usual amazing temple grounds. The spirit was strong throughout and we hope it touched hearts.
It was a crazy week though, full of extremes. We are so blessed to have amazing members in this ward to work with. Especially on thanksgiving, even though it was a weird day. Elder Turner and one of our Zone Leaders, Elder Larson, got invited back to Portland for the morning to visit a part member family they had grown close to in past transfers. The other Zone leader and I hadn't been able to make any plans for that morning so we were avalible to help someone in need. The last half of the day was pretty good though, we had a few places to go to for dinner. There were some amazing conversations during those.
It looks like I'll be staying in castle rock for Christmas; the transfer boards have come out twice and both say I'm staying.
Love y'all, remember to study the Book of Mormon,
Elder Nielsen
