Hello everyone! This is the story all about how my life got flipped turned upside down. Yeah, Haha my mission just got completely changed! I'm sure all of you heard, that we now get to call home every p day if we would like to. And honestly, I'm not sure how its gonna go over with everyone! I'm hoping that it just motivates myself, and other missionaries, to work harder and be better, but I'm afraid that it might detract from the work for some and cause them to be more homesick. I don't know yet, but obviously the Lord has given this blessing to us for a reason, we might just have to wait to see what that reason is. Anyway, it was a good week! They continue to fly by and we are halfway through the transfer already! We did good this week though, we have been able to find 6 new people to teach! I hope that some of them actually will allow them to continue to teach them but sadly that isn't in our hands. I also had the chance to go on an exchange to Ganado this week and that was good, it was nice to work with another missionary and experience his area for a little bit. And we had zone conference on Thursday! And I liked what sister Ackerman said, "Happy Valentines day, or for missionaries, happy thursday!" But it was good, it's always nice to see some elders I haven't seen for a while, and I was able to learn a lot from it. Then yesterday we were both able to speak in sacrament meeting. I spoke on Alma and Alma the younger and and parenthood, and even though I have no experience ever raising a child, I thought my talk went well and the ward appreciated it a lot. And as I was speaking, I was being taught by the spirit, that whoever who it might be, friend or family, the best way to help them come closer to Christ and gain true happiness, is to be an example to them, and to love them unconditionally. If we are willing to do that, and serve them with no personal agenda, then they will come back. It has been promised by many prophets, and it is in Jeremiah 31:16 Thus saith the Lord; Refrain thy voice from weeping, and thine eyes from tears: for thy work shall be rewarded, saith the Lord; and they shall come again from the land of the enemy. Just love everyone. Bring them back to the fold. A lot of the time they know of the truth, we just need to remind them of it, and the best way to do that is to show love. Here is my joke for the week. What award did they give to the man that invented door knockers? The no-bell prize!
