Monday-- drove Sunday night into Marlboro my last area. Woke up and the Marlboro elders bought us IHOP #blessings drove the morning up into New Hampshire for an appointment for my companion. Then about a 4 to 5 hour drive all the way back down to our area in cape Cod. We worked a little bit.
Tuesday-- Elder goodman packed and he said goodbyes to people in the English class. Nothing else. But my studies have been awesome. I study the book of Mormon in English and for my language study I study in Portuguese and compare how the language works and its fantastic. The Simplify each other and it's crazy that the hour to study just flies by.
Wednesday-- transfers and I got to see a lot of faces again. My new companion is Elder uluiviti. He is Tongan, raised up in Fiji and moved to Cali. Speaks Tongan, Fijian, English and now Portuguese. Pretty good guy. Loves to laugh and basicslly make friends with everyone. Drove home and had English class which is ending in the coming weeks.
Thursday--for some reason our area book wouldn't connect because of all the changes. Overall we got two areas and lost the area on our phones so. Have you ever typed up a full English paper, thought you saved it then try to open it again and it's gone?? That's basically what happened so at the moment we are literally starting over again about 4 months worth of work. It's been stressful to say the least. Back to that confidence in God right?? 😅😅
Friday-- my companion looked at me while we were studying and he said THE SAME THING. You look like Brad Pitt. YOU GOTTA BE KIDDIN ME. Welp so it looks like we got Brad Pitt and Will Smith as the missionaries now so there goes that. We are teaching this family with two little boys and they are the best. We shared with them the restoration and the plan of salvation so far. We are finally getting head way with someone. It's funny
Saturday-- nothing much happened we had some members from the Cape Cod branch try to coax us into coming to their chapel. We did a lot of smart finding and talked to this really funny man named Tony. He wasn't interested but basically gave us his life story and it just looked like he needed someone to talk to. I ran over a chipmunk and he had two acorns in his mouth that went flying. I almost hit a deer that walked across a highway exit.
Sunday-- translated some talks and had a pretty chill Sunday nothing too crazy. Just trying to talk to everyone and keep our spirits up until we can figure out the area book problem.
I've got nothing to complain about I got the necessities of life and it's about finding joy in the journey. I hope you all have a good week and I'm excited for Father's day this week. Check out this quote. Ate mais tchau
President Ezra Taft Benson (1899–1994) shared some characteristics of those who have experienced a mighty change of heart: “When you choose to follow Christ, you choose to be changed. …“The Lord works from the inside out. The world works from the outside in. The world would take people out of the slums. Christ takes the slums out of people, and then they take themselves out of the slums. The world would mold men by changing their environment. Christ changes men, who then change their environment. The world would shape human behavior, but Christ can change human nature. …“Yes, Christ changes men, and changed men can change the world. “Men changed for Christ will be captained by Christ. Like Paul they will be asking, ‘Lord, what wilt thou have me to do?’ (Acts 9:6). Peter stated, they will ‘follow his steps’ (1 Peter 2:21). John said they will ‘walk, even as he walked’ (1 John 2:6). “Finally, men captained by Christ will be consumed in Christ. To paraphrase President Harold B. Lee, they set fire in others because they are on fire. (See Stand Ye in Holy Places [Salt Lake City: Deseret Book Co., 1974], p. 192.)
