It started out with Elder Carlson who apparently is a legendary sax player. We met with this underground Jazz band and set up a time that we could come by. We went back last Monday to talk to them about Jesus and they ended up playing for us. They were really good and total homies. We hit it off really well with all of them. It ended up being a great contacting activity. I snagged a picture before we left.
The rest of the week was good. District meeting worked out well. I thought it would be hard to talk about the gospel with a bunch of people who eat, breath, and sleep missionary work. In other words what new information could I bring these fantastic missionaries? But it ended up going well.
Everything else went smoothly for the week but the highlight was teaching that amazing family that I've mentioned before. We had a great leçon with them and invited them to come to church......
THEY CAME!!! It was the first time I've seen a whole family of investigators come to church. It was absolutely incredible. We followed up after church and they said they had a great time. One comment in particular was from the mother who said it felt like we were all just one Big family! We are totally blessed here in Martinique.
I also wanted to lift your spirits this week with this picture of a RAINBOW.
