I hit my year mark in 3 days! Time is starting to go by really quick!
I'll tell you all a little about my companion, Elder Jeilar.
Elder Jeilar is a convert to the church. He was converted at age 13 and was the only member of his family that joined the church.
He is from the Marshall islands so as you would imagine.. his English isnt that great. He knows enough to get by but half the time I dont understand what he says haha.
We are still set to baptize kekoa on the 10th of August so were super stoked for that!
The other day we were visiting the Marshallese members and turns out they were Elder jeilars niece and auntie he never knew about. His older brother also lives in Maui too so we hope to visit him and hopefully start teaching him.
Elder Jeilar is a really humble guy and has taught me a lot about gratitude and humility.
For the natural man is an enemy to God, and has been from the fall of Adam, and will be, forever and ever, unless he yields to the enticings of the Holy Spirit, and putteth off the natural man and becometh a saint through the atonement of Christ the Lord, and becometh as a child, submissive, meek, humble, patient, full of love, willing to submit to all things which the Lord seeth fit to inflict upon him, even as a child doth submit to his father
