On and Friday we said Aloha Oe to my mission president and his wife, President and sister Bekker! On Friday Maui zone (my zone) was the last zone to have zone conference with President and Sister Bekker before they go home. They go home July 1. There were lots of tears shed from both the missionaries and the Bekkers.
I have grown really close to my mission president so it was hard saying goodbye. But on the bright side thank goodness for mission reunions ;)
Leilani is finally good to go for baptism this Saturday!! She originally was supposed to get baptized may 18! They have been getting taught for a little over a year now and have gone through a lot of missionaries so I'm happy I'll be here to see them enter the waters of baptism!
Kekoa (leilani's brother) is supposed to get baptized with her on Saturday but we decided to wait a little bit so he will be 100 percent ready. He also has to complete 48 hours of community service by July 30 so that is also another reason we are going to hold it off.
I get to fly to Molokai tomorrow for a baptism interview. I'm pretty pumped about that!! The Molokai Elders have a baptism this Saturday as well. (If they pass the interview ;) baptismal interviews is one of the responsibilities i have being a district leader.
I went on exchanges with Elder blackmore this week. He is the elder who's mom passed away recently. He is a convert to the church and is really GUN HO! he has a lot of energy and loves to work so it was fun being with him.
Last week we went to Kehei and played some sand volleyball at the beach with our zone! The volleyball court was surrounded by grass so technically it is approved :)
