Honolulu west

Elder Sa’au

Yesterday was my first Sunday in the samoan ward and I had no idea what was going on so I had to translate through my companion!

The samoans love the missionaries and also love feeding us. Yesterday a family dropped off dinner to us and it was literally a full on feast and they said "sorry it's not much but we were really busy" I was totally thinking the opposite.

The samoan ward is probably one of the best wards in the mission. They are always at the church playing volleyball or basketball and they get mad if we dont come so I'm gonna be pretty decent at volleyball and basketball by the time we're done;)

My companion is elder Sa'au. I mentioned him in my last email.. but he is a big dude not gonna lie but hes just a teddy bear. Hes one of the nicest guys I've met. He is hilarious so I'm excited for this transfer!

Spirital thought: Ether 12:27 And if men come unto me I will show unto them their weakness. I give unto men weakness that they may be humble; and my grace is sufficient for all men that humble themselves before me; for if they humble themselves before me, and have faith in me, then will I make weak things become strong unto them.

Not a whole lot this week but I hope y'all have a good week 😊
