I cant believe it's already Dec ember!! Im used to all the snow and getting ready for ski season around this time but it's a little different in Hawaii 😁 it is still 85 degrees every day.
So we got a referral this week that located us on Sand Island... it sounds really cool huh. But all it is pretty much is shipping containers and construction buildings. It doesnt feel like an island at all. But as we were heading out we saw THE OCEAN. I never thought I would see it here. There is a rule you cant go on the beach here. My Mission president says
"Your mission ends where the sand begins"
But we are allowed to go on the rocks or dirt by the ocean. And luckily there were rocks so we snapped some pics and we just in awh that we were by the ocean.
Yesterday at church one of our investigators went up to bare her testimony and there was only 2 mins left and she got up and started preaching.... then started singing.. and the singing got worse and worse and she was up there for easily 15 minutes. Everything was in samoan so I had no idea what was happening but she started chanting "GOD IS GOOOOD" and I could obviously tell when she was singing.
The relief society president was sitting behind us and tapped me on the shoulder and gave me a note that said
"Keep her away from the pulpit" which was fair enough 😂
The missionaries threw me a little surprise birthday party at the park and had some cake and pizza. It made me feel like a normal person for a second!
Well.. that's about it for the week.
I challenge everyone to participate in the LIGHTTHEWORLD program:) I promise you will make someone's day if you do it!
