Provo MTC

Elder Larsen

MTC Week 1!

WOW! The first week was very tough and I don't know where to start. My companion is Elder Larsen and he went to Lone Peak too! It's funny we are complete opposites and everyone in my district tells us that! He is awesome and when I am in a bad mood he really can cheer me up. The first 3 days was the hardest. We sat in a classroom for 14 hours every single day. No exercise time which was really tough for me. The spirit is so strong here. I have never felt the spirit so strong in my entire life. Every single Elder and Sister's testimony in my district is so strong. I love my district and I love my roommates. Elder Coesens and Elder Peseta. They are from Idaho and Hawaii. Elder Coesens is one of the funniest guys I have met in my entire life and Elder Peseta reminds me of Micah Hemuli!

Elder Larsen and I had the opportunity to teach an investigator named Shelby. Our first lesson went super well and then our 2nd lesson was very tough. We did not do a good job teaching and it was hard. I was very upset. I got down on my knees and prayed and asked what I could do to become a better missionary and I got my answer. I gotta prepare more and study the scriptures more. After that Elder Larsen and I haven't looked back. We got Shelby to commit to baptism and we got 2 more investigators to commit to baptism. There is no better feeling in the world than your investigator telling you that she wants to follow Jesus Christ example and get baptized.

I hope everyone had a good 4th of July. My 4th of july was pretty good. Elder Larsen had the opportunity to play the organ at the devotional and he did amazing job. The devotional started at 8 and he had to be there at 4:45 to practice so I sat next to him the whole time just listening to him play the organ haha. Tuesday and Wednesday I got very sick with a sore throat and cough so the last 2 days have been pretty tough for me. I can't wait to get out into the field and serve the people of Raleigh North Carolina! My testimony has never been this strong and I am so grateful for the opportunity to be a missionary. I miss you all and love you. If you would like to send me a letter use and I get to see the email that day. I look forward to getting DearElder letters every day so I would love it if you could send me a letter! Love you guys!
