This past week went by all to quickly. New years was pretty legit. I wrote about it last week for those of you who want to know more.
This week started off with another exchange with the Brewton Elders. I was with elder Farnsworth! He is from Fresno, California and came out into the mission field with me. It was a fun exchange! We spent most of our time out on bikes knocking on doors of less active members. Our first day something happened that I don't recall ever happening before on my mission. For EVERY door we knocked on, someone was home and they ALL let us in! Never in my mission have I had a full day of people letting us in and all be home! Such a crazy day!
So half way through the week we had a sweet lesson with our ward mission leader Brother Sevy and that returning member we've been working with. It was a great lesson full of the spirit. This member has been bringing his wife, kids and mother-in-law to church and I feel like they are starting to realize that we as members of the Churchof Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints aren't that crazy! Caitlyn has been out of town this week so we didn't have a lesson with her but all is well!
I still have no idea what 2 hour church is like because we had stake conference this weekend... So tell me what y'all think of it! Our stake President invited the men in the stake to follow the examples the sisters of the stake have set and read the Book of Mormon by next conference. I guess that'll make 2 times in 6 months because I was challenged by a few sister missionaries here in the mission a while back to do the challenge from President Nielson as well. I also finished the New Testament yesterday so I will be starting the Old Testament today. Its amazing to see the gospel line up throughout the Bible, Book of Mormon, and modern Revelation!
So this week is transfer week and I'm staying in Navarre for 6 more weeks! Did y'all hear sisters missionaries can wear pants now? #weirdtoadjustto
This past transfer has been a tough one for me. Thankfully this new years resolution thing that everyone talks about has given me a great reason to hit the reset button. I’d like to share a little bit of life saving help with yall; Read, Pray, React! Read the scriptures, Pray for guidence/ask questions, and react to the promoting of the spirit! It’s simple but the effects are eternal!
