Bainbridge, Georgia

Unity is Strength

What a crazy week!!! Gotta say it's weird to have such a big switch up in the district.

Monday, February 5:
Started today off with a call from the zone leaders informing me that I'd be staying in Bainbridge another 6 weeks!!! Elder Taylor and I went down to Marianna to spend one last day with the District before transfers. we played chair soccer and did some emailing and chilled most of the day.
Tuesday, February 6:
Had a great district meeting. We all brought a topic from the Christlike attributes section of Preach My Gospel and shared. It was a very spiritual discussion. After District meeting we all had brownies and ice cream. Later Elder Feeny and I went and taught some lessons to their investigators in Marianna. To finish off the day we spent it packing and playing Book of Mormon battles.
Wednesday, February 7:
Early in the morning Elder Taylor and Elder Casper left to go to Tallahassee. That left Elder Feeny and I to clean the apartment and get it ready for the two new Elders who would be coming in. We then drove to transfer spots where Elder Feeny met up with his new companion Elder Westover. They took off to Chipley. I was then temporarily assigned to be companions with Elder Langston who was going to be with me till the transfer van came back. While we waited Elder Langston and I went to the Marianna Elders Apartment. The new Elders in Marianna are Elder Ence and Elder Sheirmeister. We were chillin' there for a little bit when the Dothan 1st and 2nd Elders decided to join us. It was pretty sick to all joke around for a little bit. After a few hours we went back to transfer spots where we said some more goodbyes and I met my new companion Elder Vance. Elder Vance is from West Jordan, Utah. He's pretty athletic and super chill. He and I are gonna get some serious work done here in B-Ridge!!!
Thursday, February 8:
Spent the day cleaning, doing some service at the local Genealogical Society. Did some shopping because Elder Vance had zero food to eat. Had lunch at the Cleveland's house and I might just add that they have some pretty stinkin' amazing kids! We had a lesson with Lisa and Coby. Also had a quick visit with a less-active family. This transfer is gonna be so sweet!
Friday, February 9:
Started the day off with a solid run with Elder Vance. Afterwards we put in two hours at the Salvation Army. Following service we went to the Covington's house for lunch. Then we came back into town and full day of meeting with people. We met with Curel, the Hampton's, Ronnie Bell, and the Tuell Family. Just for the record I had bee spelling Tuell wrong (Tuell, not Toole). We finished the night off with some sprints. I'm not sure that I'm completely solid on his workout routines but I guess I'll have to go with the flow because we are companions.
Saturday, February 10:
Another morning full of running... good for the body in the long haul. We had a monthly meeting with the Decatur County Genealogical Society. The library is getting a new name. It is going to be named after Shirley Fleming, the previous president who passed suddenly of a heart attack. It's weird/cool to be able to say I knew and was well acquainted with her before she passed. So the rest of the day was kinda rough because most of our appointments cancelled on us or ended up not being home. We were however able to get our weekly planning done.
Sunday, February 11:
Got up at 5 am to be at the church by 6 for Branch conference meetings. Had some for the Branch, YM, YW, and Elders/High Priests. Kinda crazy but cool to have a lot of the stake leaders with us. After church we had a meals on the grounds. Everyone in the branch brought some food and we had a big potluck lunch. It was pretty good! Elder Vance and I came home did our studies. To finish off the day we helped give a less active member a blessing and had dinner with the Belisles!

Scripture and a Quote:

Psalms 133:1
1 Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!

"Unity is strength...when there is teamwork and collaboration, wonderful things can be achieved."
