Bainbridge, Georgia

Ethan Scott Belliston

Irma-geddon is coming!

Well don't worry everyone I know how to swim! Irma can dump as much rain on me as she wants and I'll be fine.

Monday, September 4:
P-Day... not much to report other than the fact that Elder Belliston and I felt prompted to buy water in preparation for the storm. We also went to Marianna, FL and stayed the night.
Tuesday, September 5:
Today we all (Elder Belliston, Elder Feeny, Elder McKinnion and I) went to district meeting together. After the meeting we went back to Bainbridge and visited Lisa and Coby as well as Frank and Lorrella.
Wednesday, September 6:
Today we had another awesome lesson with Alvin. We also were able to visit Sister Kincaid again! Our last appointment for the day was with a part member family. The day was finished off with teaching the Branch Family History Class.
Thursday, September 7:
We went and volunteered more of our time at the Decatur County Genealogical Society and it was awesome! Other than that, the rest of the day was spent planning for next week and having appointments cancelled.
Friday, September 8:
Lot's of preparing our selves and others for the storm...Lot's of manual labor.
Saturday, September 9:
More Preparation for Hurricane Irma...More Manual Labor. Some how I enjoy this kind of manual labor. We also met with Lisa and Coby. To finish off the day we had a church tour with Alvin. He loved it and is still on track to be baptized on the 30th of September.
Sunday, September 10:
Today was a simple day. We went to sacrament meeting and then went to Marianna to be with the rest of our district. We were told by our mission president to stay inside till Tuesday morning.

Scripture and a Quote

D&C 38:30
"30 If ye are prepared, ye shall not fear."

"To be prepared is half the victory"
-Miguel De Cervantes

I have learned that when we are prepared we have nothing to fear. A storm has come to hit me physically but that pails in comparison to the storms that will hit me spiritually. I know that as long as I stay prepared I have nothing to fear and that half of the battle is already obtained. I encourage you to prepare yourselves for the challenges of life. I leave this with you in Jesus Chirst's sacred name. Amen
