We had a solid week. Can't really think of anything cool that happened. Other than that a squirrel got into my room. It was in the curtains the entire night like right above my head. Then, in the morning I heard it moving and I looked and it was this giant squirrel! We were trying to get it out and it was running around like crazy. It was pretty funny actually because it couldn't get any grip on the tile and kept slipping There's a lot of windows in the office, so it kept like jumping into the windows and falling down and stuff. It was highly entertaining. I almost didn't want to let it out haha. That was probably the most exciting thing that happened this week, if that counts as exciting. Had a few calls from elders with dog bites. They had to go get rabies shots. I was actually surprised that 2 happened in one week.
I saw Elder Lyman this week (my companion from Huangala). That was fun. He's a funny guy. He's doing really great. It was fun to catch up with him.
I had a nice experience this week having to do with faith. We have been working lately on putting goals first and then making plans, instead of making plans and then goals because it helps us push ourselves. We had put the goal for 5 new contacts and we were knocking at night for hours, but couldn't get anyone to respond to us. It was getting late so we decided to say a prayer and ask for some guidance. The very next door we knocked on, the person responded to us and we got a new contact. Then, 10 minutes later, we found another one. Then, like 15 min before we had to go back to the room, we found a family of 3 that were super good people. We ended the night meeting our goal! It was just a little test of faith for us because at 8pm we could've said, "Ya fue," and then gone in to eat dinner or something. But, we had made that goal and we had faith that we would achieve it. Even though I'm sure the Lord wanted us to find those people, he didn't just put them all in the same spot with a sign that said come talk to us. We had to exercise our faith and we were able to find those 5 new contacts.
Have a good week everyone. Have faith! It's way easier to trust in the Lord than yourself anyway.
