Letter 40

've been getting tired of saying the same, 'hey everyone this week was good" phrase. So, I'm just gonna get right into it. This week was good haha! Happy Mother's Day to all of the mothers out there. Especially my mom. No offense to all you other moms, but mines the best. I hope you had a great mothers day Mom. I love you.

Today was kinda slow for us. We were going to go to Sullana to play soccer in the morning, but it turns out that they closed the roads to Sullana for 3 days and we can't go. I asked why and it turns out that all of the rice farmers are mad because they aren't making enough money. So, to solve their problem they closed the road down from Sullana to Huangala. Don't get how that helps them at all, but it definitely didn't help us because we couldn't do our shopping or anything today. We just sat in our room all day.

My companion and I are getting along great. He's a good guy. We are very different and he's kind of awkward, but it doesn't matter much since we are both putting all our efforts into doing the Lord's work. Differences don't matter as much. He likes country music (I'm pretty sure you all know my opinion on that) He also has never seen like any movies. Infinity Wars, Spiderman, you name it he hasn't seen it. It's actually kind of impressive.

We were on our own for dinner one of the nights this week so I made mangu. I don't know if you remember what that is, but it's the mashed banana thing that Elder Guzman taught me how to make. It was super good. Elder Lyman loved it too haha. He even told me that the types of bananas I used to make it are in the United States too. They are called plantains or something.

So, some other big news. I hit the straddle planche this week. I know that none of you know what that is, so you can look it up if you want. It's basically like a plank but all of your body weight is on your hands and your feet don't touch the ground. I only did it for like 3 seconds, but I'ma keep working on it.

Our area is doing pretty well. We found an awesome family this week! We were super happy excited. We'll see how they keep progressing. Angelo is doing good too. He is super awesome. He finished 1st nefi and now he's starting 2nd nefi. He even asked if he could pay tithing if he wasn't a member. He still doesn't want to get baptized yet. He just wants to think about it a little bit more. He said if he makes this decision, he wants to be faithful the rest of his life, so he just wants to make sure he's making the right choice. We had a super good lesson with him last time, we will keep working with him.

Peace.
Elder Andelin
