Today has been great. Our friend Dodie, who is investigating the church, helped us teach a lesson to two other investigators we are working with, Caitlin and Grace. It went very well. It was spiritually uplifting and also a lot of fun. Before we start lessons with Caitlin and Grace we usually bust out some magic tricks that we learn throughout the week. And after our lessons we extend an invitation to them and invite them to extend an invitation to us as well. So far I've done the cinnamon challenge, brushed my teeth with mayonnaise, learned how to juggle and a handful of other random tasks. It definitely keeps me busy. After our lesson with them a non member delivered dinner. They heard we were still in the area from one of their member friends. and said that it was their way of giving a little back to us because of the work we had done after the floods.

A lot of crazy things have happened today. Dodie had an old friend of hers ask her out. She has somehow managed to turn it into a missionary experience and referred him to the missionaries in his area. She is very excited because she really likes this guy and thinks he could possibly be someone worth taking to the temple. I'm so happy for her! Hopefully it works out like she wants it to🤞. Dodie also told me a little more about how she got introduced to the church. It was actually through The Book of Mormom musical which is hilarious. Apparently it got her asking a lot of questions about the church and 6 months later here we are and she's about to get baptized.

One of our friends is struggling with addiction and wanted to just give up on the church. I called her as soon as she voiced this to us and urged her to stay in the fight against her addiction. She voiced that she wanted to give up because of the overall difficulty of the struggle. I don't remember exactly what I said but I do remember praying to know what to say. In essence, I said that it's not supposed to be easy, it wasn't easy for the Saviour so why should it be a breeze for us. He understands us and is there to help us but he's not necessarily going to make it a walk in the park. It was a tender moment. After we hung up the room fell really silent and we all wiped away our tears, got on our knees and prayed for a miracle. Later that night she called back and we talked some more and she expressed that she wanted to keep going for the time being. Apparently right after the call she called her friend crying and her friend said something like "I told you the Mormons are bad news" to which she replied "the Mormons aren't the problem, this addiction is".
2 referrals from members.

We found out that Elder Farar is getting transferred to The Forrest of Dean. I'm kind of devastated. I can't help but feel a little frustrated since we were told that transfers weren't happening this transfer cycle. We've been through a heck of a lot together. He's the one guy who really understands the flood experience in the same way I do. We've been there for each other during these 5 months. It has been full of unforgettable experiences and hard times. Now he is leaving. We're not getting a new missionary in Ponty either, so now we are in a trio. I try to continually tell myself not to let my emotions be subject to my circumstances but with this blow it's a little hard.
Hope you are all doing well and staying safe,
-Elder Pricer
