So we now have two areas since the mission is scarce of missionaries at the moment. We now cover both the Pontypridd and the Caerphilly areas which is pretty sick. Things have been pretty ok over here. Some days are better than others. We go up the mountain every once and a while to feed these free roaming horses that we found, which is very therapeutic😂. Like all of you we have no idea what the future holds for us. We are teaching a lot though. We have this really solid investigator named Kris who is amazing! He's starting to know more about the gospel than we do so we've really had to hit the books hard to try and find something to teach him that he doesn't know lol. He actually taught us the restoration today and nailed it!

My 3 companions and I have a little conspiracy theory brewing. Long story short we think our mission president is Thanos. Last zone conference before this all took off he went off about how we need to find balance in the work. Then before you know it half the mission is gone. I guess he snapped his fingers.

I've been slacking on these for a while but to be fair nothing much new is going on. We are teaching a fair amount though which has been awesome. We have some really great people that we're working with. Kris is making great progress and thanks us every day multiple times for helping him find this lasting sense of happiness that the gospel has to offer. Dodie is doing awesome too! We're going to be working more closely with the Temple Square sisters to help her overcome some of her current challenges which will be interesting but I'm confident it'll be effective.

Every day seems to be pretty much the same for the most part. My daily routine consists of getting up at around 6:00, for some reason my body just wakes up earlier than 6:30 now so that kind of sucks. Then I go downstairs and sit on the couch with my baseball blanket and catch up on Facebook and listen to a conference talk. Then I get up and make myself some breakfast which usually consists of onions, mushrooms, bacon, sausage, and eggs, and eat while doing some personal study. Then I go work out for around an hour. After that I get ready for the day. I usually don't change out of my pijamas except for a lesson, then I throw a white shirt and a tie on and leave the pijama bottoms on. We've actually been teaching a good amount and seeing a lot of people progress which is a blessing. Days can be hard at times but I definitely find comfort in the fact that the situation isn't better at home. I actually sometimes get excited in a way when I think about everything that is going on. I'm trying to look at the situation from God's perspective. He obviously doesn't want us to happen but good things can definitely come out of bad situations and I definitely think that the world is being humbled as a result of this pandemic.

Not much out of the ordinary happened today except one lesson. I actually wasn't even a part of it, the Cardiff Elder's were teaching and I was simply listening in. The man they were teaching had been taught for a while and had some really profound and important questions he had been asking for a long time. Missionaries often call people like him and eternalgator since he never really seems to progress into joining the church. He had been struggling to find a testimony about the Book of Mormon for a long time and even jokingly said that if the Elder's invited him to "just read the Book of Mormon and pray about it" that he'd probably just hang up on them or try to "strangle him through the phone" with how many missionaries have insanely gone about extending that invitation to him. I couldn't help but feel for him. I myself have not simply gained my testimony through just reading the Book of Mormon and praying about it. Don't get me wrong though, I have definitely felt the Spirit when I've prayed and read the Book of Mormon but the way I know it to be true is how I've been able to apply the principles within it to my daily life. In the Introduction the prophet Joseph Smith says "a man would get nearer to God by abiding by its precepts, than by any other book".
