Things have been great here in Cannock! Elder Jefferies and I are getting along great and love the work. He's an amazing missionary and I've learned a ton from him. I’m excited to learn more. We work hard and love doing it.

It's crazy to think that I've been here in Cannock for over 4 months. It feels like a dream. I can't say that it has flown by but it is gradually starting to pick up speed. Being a missionary has become more and more like the new normal. I love this place so much and am so grateful for the opportunity I have of serving here and the people of England. Cannock will always have a very special place in my heart.

We had an interesting sort of day off this week. President Hughes wanted to give us an opportunity to "let our hair down" and have fun. He organized a games day (i.e., activity day) and let the zones to come together, for missionaries to get to know each other and just enjoy each others' company. Our games day was this Thursday so we spent the day just playing games with a ton of missionaries, President Hughes and his family. It was awesome! We all had a ton of fun and I got to know President a lot better. At the start of the day our district was tasked with making a sort of team banner. We called ourselves the Cannock Killers (that's what the picture is about lol) I admit, we went a little overboard...

I have come to realize that a mission is a very individual experience and that there are a variety of different ways to serve a mission. The call to a mission itself doesn't instigate a great change in a young man or woman, but it is how that mission is served that can lead to change and growth. I am continually striving both work hard, love my mission and find the joy in serving. And I am having gradual success in that. I know that the principle of looking on the bright side of life and finding joy in it, even during the darkest of times, will be a great character trait to have in my future role as a husband and father. I am finding that it is a conscious choice to be happy. I am glad to say that I am currently very, very happy.

I love you all and hope you are all doing great!
