This week has definitly been a rollercoaster of good and bad experiences. On Wednesday we had a day full of service for this very well off English family that lived a little ways outside of town. We removed and replanted trees as well as laid sod for around 8 hours. After we finished working they gave us a tour of their house, it was very very clean and everything was either cream white, silver, or gold colored. One of the coolest things they had was this piano that played itslef and apparently syncs up to whenever Elton John has a concert and plays whatever song he is playing exactly when he is playing it, so yeah that was pretty cool.

We had some pretty interesting experiences when street contacting this week. This one guy who we tried to talk apparently was having a really bad day because he got right up in Elder Warner's face and started screaming at him. Eventually we just had to walk away. A few days later this old English man started yelling at me saying that believing in God was a "fairy tale", I matched his steam with my own and very sternly replied to him. I felt the Holy Ghost leave me immediately after that confrontation, I felt terrible. I realized that I had not left a very positive impression of the church on this man and definitely didn't respond in the same manor that Christ would've. So with this feeling of guilt upon me I quickly asked God for forgiveness and just kept on talking. If anything, it was a good learning experience. I'm actually starting to get used to the name calling and getting shouted and sweared at, I just try and think about how much worse it was for Christ and start to be maybe even a little bit thankful that I get to have a super small taste of what the Savior went through.

Things are pretty good in general here in Cannock, every day is a grind but I'm getting more and more used to grinding through it as part of my daily routine. I was asked to give a 20 minute talk this Sunday, with only a two day prior heads up, so that was a little bit hectic. I haven't yet perfected the art of winging it so I actually typed it out and tried my best to memorize bits and pieces of it so that I wouldn't be up there reading from a packet of papers for 20 straight minutes. Which I ended up mostly doing. Overall it went pretty well, I actually had a less active lady who was attending ask for a copy of it after sacrament meeting so that was pretty uplifting and motivating, in fact it made my day.

We have zone conference later this week and I am so excited for it! I love seeing other missionaries and just hearing about how they are doing. Plus I get to see some of my buddies from the MTC. It's kind of comforting to just know in the back of your head that all of them are going through pretty close to the same thing as you. Even though we don't see each other all the time like we did in the MTC we are still in it together!

I hope all of you had a great week!
